Favorite Shows?
Ok, a slight break from kid pictures. I was recently reading an article online about some of our favorite TV shows growing up that kids today would have no idea about.
It made me stop to think about some of my favorite shows as a kid. Of course, kid probably covers from 8 to 17 so that's a wide range. Here are a few that come to my mind:
- Gilligan's Island (one of my favorites) - oddly enough it ran only 3-4 seasons and all before I was even born!! Wow - who knew??? Click here for more information on that.
- Brady Bunch
- Dukes of Hazzard
- Charlie's Angels
- Wide World of Sports - mostly when the Globetrotters would play on TV
- The Cosby Show
- The Carol Burnett Variety Show - loved Tim Conway and Misses a-Wiggins!!!
- Three's Company
- Batman (the real life version - not the cartoon - with Adam West and Burt Ward).
- Different Strokes
- Family Ties
- The Love Boat
- CHiPs
- Happy Days
- Welcome Back, Kotter
- Bewitched
- The Dick Van Dyke show
Of course, most of these have been made into a movie which flopped!! Tell me some of your favorite shows. And I promise, more to come on the kids!!
God bless you all,
SJ

OK, what? Do you keep a journal stashed away that is titled, "my childhood memories." How do you remember all those....I can't think of any others. But I always loved Gilligan's Island...can't believe it was on for such a short time...although I guess it was always the re-runs I watched anyway. I also wondered if Tori would think it was funny.

You left off my very favorite - Little House on the Prairie!! I'm with Tori Vaughn - it's the best show ever. I still get teary eyed with just about any episode when I catch a re-run. Love those Ingles.
I was a total Dukes of Hazard Fan, Little House on the Prairie, and the MUPPETS!!! Every Saturday night was spent getting my hair washed in the sink and rolled in pink spounge rollers while we watched the muppets!! Don't you want to try one more time for a girl? Think of all you are missing Mr. Vaughn.
You Missed the All Time Greatest GUNSMOKE
